Travel Advice & Information
With tailor-made holidays to suit every traveller, there are endless ways of experiencing Tanzania. For an active holiday (ideal for offsetting those extra winter pounds) the Kilimanjaro National Park - home to the tallest mountain in Africa - is the perfect place for hilltop hiking and intrepid trekking. During the winter months the park is blessed with clear skies, cooler weather and - big bonus - fewer tourists.
Tanzania - home to the Big Five - is the land of safaris. Head to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area during January and February and experience the calving season is full swing. In the south of the park (where herds migrate for the lush green plains following the November rains) enjoy thrilling 4x4 safaris and immersive walking tours, and don't forget the binoculars!
After the wonderful madness of Christmas, enjoy a relaxing holiday lounging on the pristine white beaches of the Zanzibar Archipelago. Slow down, unwind, and take in the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean from your serene beach-fronted lodge. If you want to spice things up a bit, the Zanzibar Isles offer history and culture aplenty. Wander through aromatic spice markets, admire ornately carved doors and hit the water for colourful corals and fun fishing adventures.
